Local interest - Conway Scenic Railroad

Located in the heart of North Conway, the Conway Scenic Railroad offers rides that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Open air cars, snacks, or dining are available on most of their scheduled runs. All the round trip journeys begin at the Historic Station located at Schouler Park.

The 55 minute ride to Conway, which takes you across the Swift and Saco rivers and past some of the area’s farmlands is the shortest trip offered. When the train arrives in Conway watch as the engine “runs around” the train and sets for the return trip to North Conway.

Then there’s a beautiful, relaxing hour and 45 minute ride to Bartlett which crosses the Ellis, East Branch and Saco rivers as well as traversing woodlands with views of the Gorgeous White Mountains.

For those of you who prefer to really relax and see the mountains firsthand The Conway Scenic offers a 5 hour trip to the Crawford depot which includes traveling over the spectacular Frankenstein Trestle and past cascading brooks,  meandering streams,  sheer bluffs and steep ravines.
